We’ve tried our best to provide business as well as technical info to help answer any questions you may have about us or hybrids.
Who are we?
Good question. That’s me – Alex – on the left, lovingly leaning on a Camry hybrid battery. And Mr. Giggles to my left is my dad – Sebastian. Together, we form Prius Maximus – Mobile Hybrid Repair. If you ever come across parts of the website where I use “I” instead of “we”, it’s because sometimes I, Alex, made the website, but sometimes I’m thinking about both of us when I write the pages. Anywho, feel free to read more about us.
What do we do?
Quite a few things actually. Yes, we do hybrid batteries. That’s me working on a CT200h in the picture. But we also service other aspects of hybrids including ABS brakes, water pumps, combination meters, just to name a few. Check out our services page for a complete list and pricing. Overall, we strive to be the most affordable, personable, informative, and entertaining hybrid vehicle repair service on O’ahu. We’ll probably never achieve all of those at once, but be sure you’ll get at least one of those when dealing with us.
Where do we do it?
We are located on the island of O’ahu, which is located in the Hawaiian island chain, which is located in the Pacific Ocean, which is on planet Earth. While we do have access to a carport and make use of it when we can, we are also mobile, so we go wherever the job is on the island.
We do get calls from folks on other islands, but after talking logistics of me getting there with tools and parts and stuff, it’s just never worked. We wish we could help you guys too, but at the moment we’re kinda confined to O’ahu. Maybe someday though.
Why we do it?
Ahh, I don’t know. I guess because I’m a very curious person that likes to learn, with various interests, including fixing machines and cars. I’ve done so for more most of my adult life during my time in academia. One day my dad bought a broken down Prius and was basically like “hey, fix it.”
